Below are some answers to questions we get asked the most:

What makes you different than a chain-studio like JC Penney or Target?
1- We offer a custom boutique experience in our photography that chain studios just can’t compete with. Using modern and traditional poses, props and locations, your photos are truly unique. Our high quality products are always cutting-edge and our post-processing guarentees you the most beautiful photos to last a lifetime.

2 - We take our time: working with newborns, babies and toddlers can be unpredictable. We don’t mind stopping for a diaper change, waiting for baby to calm down or get a drink. We know because we’ve been there, done that. We know life doesn’t always play out perfectly within a 1 hour timeframe. So, we are patient and calm, and even offer a helping hand if you need one, to help make the most perfect photos for you and your family.

3 - The entire experience and outcome. Unlike chain studios, we concentrate on the natural essence of every moment. We don’t try to force smiles, but encourage them by having fun and bring out the best in your family.

4 - More photos, more choice. With a chain studio, you may get 1-3 different poses and then have to choose 1 pose for all of your prints. With us, we have an abundant amount of different poses, plus multiple props and outfit changes if you wish. AND you receive more photos, and can order any number of prints with any number of poses. Your choices are never limited and the possibilities are endless.

5 - Quality. We pride ourselves in using only the highest quality equipment, products and print labs. Prints from us last longer, are true to the original file's color, contrast and overall quality than box stores. We also take the time to create a personal connection with you and your family. From the booking process to the time your package arrives at your doorstep, we hope you will recognize the quality that can only come from old-fashioned personal customer service.

Do you offer a CD with all the images and reprint rights?
Yes. We offer a digital Collections that may be purchased seperately with any session. The CD comes with all the high resolution images in a custom hardcover photo CD case.

What kind of equipment do you use?
We love Canon. We use professional Canon digital cameras with Canon lenses and flashes. Along with our primary equipment, we always carry backup cameras and equipment in case of a malfunction to ensure no break in shooting.

Do you protect our images after the photo session?
Absolutely. Once we are done with a shoot, we make 4 backups: 1 on DVD, 1 to an external harddrive, 1 to a webserver-based storage unit and 1 to our computers. We keep these backups for 3

months after the shoot, then all unpurchased photos are purged to make room for new photos.

Do you have a studio?
No. Since we are natural-light photographers, we shoot in the natural beauty of the outdoors whenever possible. We are what you call "light chasers"...finding and utilizing the best available light. When booking your session, we work together to come up with a location that suits your personal style or we can shoot indoors at your home using window light. During the winter, we can travel to an indoor location of your choice (your home or a friend’s home) and use window light to shoot. We love not being confined to a harsh light studio and enjoy the creative freedom that natural light photography gives us. Our clients love our soft lighting techniques and the natural look it creates in their images.

What does it take to book a session?
To book your session, we require the session/package fee to be paid in full as well as a signed photography agreement. We do this to protect both parties involved, and the agreement is not scary at all, we promise. The session fee is required to protect us from no-shows on the day of the session. We have found that if people have already put in some investment into the session (like we have), they are much more likely to actually show up. (We do realize that life happens, and sometimes you may need to reschedule. We just ask to give us as much advance notice as possible when this happens.) After your photos have been shot and processed, they will be uploaded to a private online gallery where you may order any additional prints or products of your choice a la carte. Your photos take approximately 2 weeks to process. We post a few sneak peaks of our favorites on our blog and Facebook a few days after your session.
