Hello! I’m Pamela…but, you can call me Pam. Everyone does.
I grew up in a family of 6, I have 2 sisters and 1 brother. So, I know all about family dynamics–good ones. Growing up I loved to “entertain” our crew with my creative skills. Whether it was putting on impromptu plays, singing karaoke in our basement, or writing stories, I was always trying to make people cry, laugh, and have a good time. I wanted to make them feel something.
To capture all these great times we had, I was the unofficial photographer with my mom’s film camera. I can still taste the excitement of getting back each roll of film from the drugstore, and reliving each moment with every print. It made me feel something.
I always knew I wanted to do something creative when I “grew up.” What that was, I wasn’t always sure. I graduated college with a Graphics Arts degree, with a minor in Photography.
Along this journey, I met the man I now call my husband. After being miserable in a 9-to-5-sit-at-a-desk-all-day-killing-all-my-creative-ideas-job, he encouraged me to pick up a camera again. I started capturing our special moments together. All the while honing my craft to my idea of perfection, and my love for photography–and all things, creative–was reborn.
When our first son was born, he had to spend 14 days in the NICU. It was the loneliest time in my entire life. I was so excited to be a Mom, and when that special moment didn’t go as planned, I found myself changed. I wanted to cherish every moment I had with my little son, all hooked up with wires and tubes. I couldn’t be with him all the time, so the times I couldn’t, I looked at him through the tiny pics on my phone camera. When he was finally able to come home, I wanted to cherish every single second with him, and of course, take photos of him. He made me feel like I’ve never felt before. Today, we have three beautiful healthy children, and we are so thankful. I love capturing their every day moments, and preserving them.
Into Memories Photography was born out of my need to be creative, and to make people feel something. I absolutely love preserving family’s special moments, and turning them into memories that will last forever. It is truly a gift that keeps on giving, and I’d be honored to share that gift with you…and make you feel something too.
